Upon entering our office we welcome you as a new member of our Sunset Chiropractic family. At this time we will request that you complete our patient forms. This paperwork provides us with your health history and information pertinent to your condition.
Next you begin your consultation with Doctor Alfonso. Doctor Alfonso will discuss any health related issues, concerns, and potential treatment options. This initial visit is designed to help us learn more about you, your condition, any expectations you may have, and how chiropractic care can meet your health care goals.
After your consultation, a complete chiropractic examination with Dr. Alfonso will follow. He will test your reflexes and flexibility. Additional standard neurological, orthopedic, postural and physical test may be performed at this time.
Depending on your specific condition, we may need to take x-rays. These help us develop the most effective treatment plan for you and alert us to any serious spinal conditions.
Report of Findings
Once the information is collected and all necessary examinations are performed, Dr. Alfonso will provide you with a detailed report of all findings. He will discuss treatment recommendations and answer any questions you may have.
Together we will provide you the best treatment and wellness program for your needs.
After your evaluation, you may choose to experience your first treatment. This may include spinal adjustments, physical therapy and/or a soft tissue massage.
At the end of your visit, Dr. Alfonso will suggest a wellness care program you can incorporate outside your treatment at Sunset Chiropractic & Wellness. If you were in pain when you first came into our office, this may include; ice or heat application instructions, certain activities or positions to avoid, and at home exercises and/or stretches to perform.
At Sunset Chiropractic & Wellness we appreciate that every person is unique and requires a custom individualized wellness plan, the purpose of which is- to maintain good spinal alignment, a healthy diet, regular exercise, and a positive mental state.
